Below are brief descriptions of each of the Lesson Units that will be covered in this Level 3 Multimedia class.  Please review each one ahead of time so that you know what you will be covering for each Lesson Unit.

The 5-Paragraph Essay:  This Lesson Unit on the 5-Paragraph Essay is the most important for several reasons.  First, it is cross-curricular, meaning it consists of another subject--Literacy, specifically Writing.  It is always a good idea to always practice writing to help you prepare for CSAP in the spring trimester.  Second, every Final Project in this class requires you to not only complete a project, it requires you to write about the topic in the Final Project.

Intermediate Internet:  Many of you have already covered the subject of the Internet in 7th grade and have also used the Internet on your personal computers at home or in a Public Library.  This Lesson Unit will cover a little more advanced uses of the Internet, especially doing Online Research.  That's the focus of this Lesson Unit.

Animoto:  Many of my students in the past feel this is the best Lesson Unit.  Why?  You get to create short but exciting online videos.  You can even share it with your family and friends.  It may be a quick Lesson but it will be a fun one before Christmas break.

Advanced PowerPoint:  This Lesson Unit reviews many of the basic functions of MS PowerPoint and creating presentations.  This computer application will be useful to you, especially in High School, College and beyond.  You'll be asked to do presentations as part of class assignments in the future and even in businesses.  Advanced PowerPoint will even teach you the basics of creating a Web Site.  This will lead to the last Lesson Unit of the school year--Web Design.

Web Design:  This Lesson Unit is the most complex, but not complicated, unit out of all the units this year.  It truly tests your reading and comprehension ability.  Plus, you get to experience a little more creativity.  This will give you more experience than most teachers at this school and even your future classmates in High School and College.
